The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried and it comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only downside I found in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these advanced features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

The mopping system is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
